Girls Weekend

As promised, here is a new blog post in a semi-timely fashion. Last weekend, David went to Destin for the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists Spring Conference. Being unable to be alone for any amount of time, I invited Jennifer and Marissa to stay with me, and the fun transpired! We began or visit with a trip to Soho Sweets, where we ate some delicious ice cream. I believe Jennifer and Marissa had cookie dough and I chose raspberry gelato.

The next day, we packed up our picnic basket and went to my neighborhood park for a picnic. Once we finished eating we played on the playground for a little while, before heading to the mall for some light shopping. At the mall we enjoyed a smoothie, Marissa rode the carousel, and we bought some lip gloss, wax potpourri, and a mood ring. Then we went home to get ready for our dinner at Sumo.

Saturday, we began our morning with a trip to IHOP, per Marissa's request. When we arrived back at the house, Marissa and I made some beautiful sidewalk art. That afternoon we enjoyed some yummy cupcakes from Dreamcakes.

Sunday, we relaxed at the house most of the day, and did not make it to the Mcwane Science center as planned. However, they stayed an extra day, so we went Monday instead. We had so much fun there. Our absolute favorite part was the Shark and Ray Touch Tank exhibit, where we all petted sharks!

We had such a wonderful time together. I can't wait until they come to visit again!
