Riley, the mischief maker

A couple of weeks ago, David and I went to my cousin and her husband's house to watch a movie in Brad's "man cave". Even though we live in the same city, it is very difficult for everyone to have the same weekend free to get together. So it had been a while since we had been able to hang out. We always enjoy our time with them! We were gone for several hours, and left the boys behind the gate in the master bathroom like we always do when we go somewhere without them. When we arrived back at our house, we could hear one of the boys barking in the front hallway. Someone had escaped from the bathroom! We opened the door to find Riley standing there, and we had no idea how long he had been out. We walked toward the bathroom to let Charlie out, and as we turned on the light in the master bedroom we discovered that Riley had torn a couple rolls of toilet paper to shreds! I always take the extra toilet paper rolls that are usually beside the toilet and place them on the opposite side of the gate so that Riley can't tear them up, but since he had gotten over the gate he was able to do it anyway. I wanted to be angry, but it was just so incredibly ridiculous that all I could do was laugh. He is such a trouble maker!

This is what we saw when we walked into the bedroom

The destruction

This is just amazing...this roll of toilet paper is almost completely intact, but somehow he was able to remove the cardboard center!!!

It even went out into the hallway

Other than that, life has been pretty uneventful these days. After we returned from our trip to Kentucky, I had put on 2 1/2 lbs, so I have been back on the fitness wagon since I had been slacking. I've also been sharpening my house wife skills, and I think I may be getting better at it too. Riley had two days this week without a single accident. Pretty sure that is a record so far. Maybe he's getting the hang of things! David only has about a week and half left in this semester! After that, only one more semester of didactics...woo-hoo! I have my first ever professional massage later today, and I am so excited! There are a few exciting things coming up in the near future (I hope). Maybe then, I will have some more interesting things to blog about. Until then...

  2. You should not feel responsible at all. We had a great time with you guys. We always do! Wish we could hang out more often. As for the mess, if it weren't for Riley's shenanigans, my life would be very boring!
