Seems like just yesterday I was posting a recap of the first trimester, now here we are again, wrapping up the second trimester and beginning the last portion of the pregnancy! Everything I had read was true; the second trimester was MUCH better than the first. No nausea, my appetite stabilized, and most importantly, my emotions and energy returned to a much more normal level. Especially these past few weeks, I have felt so amazingly, both physically and emotionally. I am hoping that this lasts, as I begin this final trimester. I have been most astonished by how significantly my body has changed, and how Madelyn has grown over these past 13 weeks. I cannot believe that in only 3 months we will be meeting our baby girl! I can hardly wait!
Here is a little summary of the major moments of the 2nd trimester:
2nd Trimester recap:
- June 14th- found out we're expecting a little girl, Madelyn Elise
- June 16th- bought Madelyn's first piece of furniture for her nursery, her vintage dresser
- June 23rd- thought I might be feeling Madelyn move
- June 28th- felt Madelyn move for certain
- July 4th-David felt Madelyn move for the first time
- July 13th- received tons of hand-me-down goodies (and a few new goodies) from Nanna
- July 17th- half-way through pregnancy
- July 25th- revealed Madelyn's nursery
- August 4th-received sundress for Madelyn from our friends
- August 9th/12th- received more goodies from Nanna and Nana
- August 22nd-received glider for Madelyn's nursery from Nanna, Pawpaw, Aunt Jennifer, Marissa Grace, and Nana
- August 28th- received invitation for Madelyn's shower from Gigi
Some things I am anticipating the most for the last trimester:
- Madelyn's shower
- Finishing purchasing all of Madelyn's stuff
- Finally meeting our precious daughter
