Memory Lane: Madelyn's shower

On Saturday, September 8, we had Madelyn's shower in Brewton, Alabama at the Gordy Guest Cottage. It was hosted by my wonderful mother-in-law, Madelyn's Gigi, and was perfect in every way!

In attendance were Nanna (my mother), Aunt Jennifer (my sister), Skylar and Marissa (both of my nieces), my Nana, my Aunt Paula, my cousin Donielle and her son Ellis, David's Aunt Lee Ann, David's Aunt Lynn, David's cousin Sissy, David's cousin-in-law Lindsey, Carole's good friend Ms. Nancy, Madelyn's godparents Johnathan and Katie, and Johnathan's mom/Carole's good friend Ms. Lindy. It was so special to celebrate Madelyn's upcoming arrival surrounded by so many people who we love and care about!

Of course, Mama Carole made sure to make everything perfect and special! She ordered the most beautiful floral arrangement and had the shower catered. It was a Victorian Tea complete with seasonal fruits and berries with creme fraiche and chocolate fondue, gourmet finger sandwiches (smoked salmon with dill, classic chicken salad, and lemon crab salad), new potatoes filled with sour cream and caviar, scones with raisins and currants, marmalade and strawberry butter, assorted nuts and cheese straws, chocolate dipped shortbreads, lemon squares, and petite fruit tarts. Everything was simply amazing!

Madelyn received so many wonderful gifts. We feel so grateful to have so many people who care about us and already love our, sweet baby girl! Words cannot express how blessed we are!
