The countdown begins

There is soon to be a new addition to the Lane family! Pretty much since we first added Charlie to our family, David and I have debated whether or not we needed another dog to be a companion for Charlie. Now I know I am biased, but I think Charlie is pretty much the sweetest, most well behaved dog ever, and I am not the only one who feels this way. David and I are both smitten with Charlie and believe the wheaten breed is the perfect fit for our family. So there was no question as to what type of dog we would get if we ever got another. Wheaten puppies are not so easy to find, especially ones near where we live. I browse the internet for breeders and available puppies on a regular basis. Recently, it has become pretty apparent that Charlie would be much happier if he had a sibling and friend, and I found a breeder in Georgia with puppies available. We have sent them a deposit and will be picking up our new furry baby March 5th when he is 8 weeks old. His name is Riley! I'm having my typical,parental paranoia. I'm worried that Riley may not be coming from a reputable breeder which could mean that he would have health and/or psychological problems. I am comforted in the fact that we will actually be picking him up from the kennel and can see for ourselves the condition in which he has been living...but Charlie and I have been praying for him nonetheless. I'm going to miss Charlie being my only, spoiled baby, but I am excited that he will have the playmate and companionship which a sibling provides. He deserves to be happy since he has brought me so much happiness!
