Thursday, while I was at the grocery store, I overheard two women talking about a storm heading our way. So when I came home, I decided to look at the forecast, and low and behold, it was predicting snow! I was so excited that Charlie and I did a little dance to celebrate. I was so eager to be able to have a snow day. Friday morning I woke up around 8 o'clock to walk Charlie, anticipating seeing snow covering the ground. To my great disappointment, there was none. Feeling a little depressed, I decided to rejoin David back in bed. A little later in the morning, Marissa called to tell me about their snowfall, and the entire family was surprised to hear that we had not received any. After I got off of the phone with Marissa, I went back to sleep. About an hour later, David woke me up and told me that I should look outside. I got out of bed and went to the window. There was snow everywhere. David had some errands to run, so Charlie and I waited as patiently as possible on him to return. Charlie sat at the window most of the day looking longingly outside. Finally, David returned home and we were able to go play. We drove over to the neighborhood park, and found some of our neighbors and their dogs playing there already. Charlie had the best time running and playing with the other dogs in the snow. He would wallow around in it like a pig in mud. I don't think I've ever seen him quite so happy. Charlie loved the snow, but it didn't take too long before the poor thing was covered in it. It stuck to his legs in big, heavy clumps. When I picked him up, I swear he weighed 10 pounds heavier. He couldn't even walk without waddling. So we didn't play long. Then we went home, and Charlie had a nice warm bath to melt all of the snow. Later, David and I had hot chocolate to warm up. All in all, it was a great day. I'm so glad that it snowed and we were able to enjoy it together as a family.

Look at the huge snowballs covering his body! It looks like he is wearing boots made of snow.
