Liebster Award

I am proud to announce that I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by my fellow mom-to-be, Erikka, over at Lil' Babe Henretta!

I've thoroughly enjoyed following Errika's blog; from stalking photos of her photogenic Soft-Coated Wheaten terrier, Murphy, who reminds me of my own Charlie, to keeping track of her pregnancy.  In fact, she was my inspiration for my weekly pregnancy blog updates.  Erikka, you have such a sweet spirit, and I appreciate the encouragement you have given me through your thoughtful comments. 

If you are not familiar with the Liebster Award, it is given to fairly new blogs with 200 or less followers.  This is a way of giving recognition to bloggers for a job well done.  It brings undiscovered blogs to the light and helps them gain exposure to attract more followers.  If you receive a Liebster, the person giving it to you is basically saying, "Hey, YOU ROCK!"

Being nominated for a Liebster comes with a few guidelines...

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog

how far along: 12 weeks

Baby Lane’s size: about the size of a plum

weight gain: 1 lb. this week, 6 lbs. total

maternity clothes: Not yet, but I have a pair of jeans that fit! (I had given my niece some clothes that were too big for me before, and she has outgrown them [and me] so I got the jeans back and they fit!) 

stretch marks: No

sleep: Continuing to sleep well

best moment this week: Hearing Baby Lane's heartbeat for the first time, and seeing our little wiggle worm put on a show on the sonogram! :D  It was amazing!

11 weeks 3 days doppler of Baby Lane's heartbeat- Thanks to my husband for taking the video from the worst possible angle of me ;)

food cravings: None
symptoms: fatigue, irritability/moodiness, gagging/nausea, headaches

gender: We'll hopefully find out on June 15th!

belly button in or out: In

movement: Lots of movement, but too early to feel it...hopefully in just a few weeks

what I miss: Nothing
what I'm looking forward to: Finding out Baby Lane's sex, and feeling Baby Lane move

Sorry I'm late updating, but we've been super busy moving into out new home!  I hope to update on that soon too, but in the mean time, enjoy my 10 and 11 week update!

how far along: 10 weeks on May 8th, 11 weeks on May 15th 

(Hard to believe I'm in the double digits and toward the end of my first trimester!)

Baby Lane’s size: week 10: about the size of a prune, 

week 11: about the size of a lime

weight gain: 1 lb. for weeks 9-11, 5 lbs. total

maternity clothes: still none, but I can't zip my jeans anymore, so I need some maternity pants!

stretch marks: Not yet

sleep: Still sleeping soundly...and I pass out as soon as my head hits the pillow!

best moment this week: Not exactly baby related, but moving into our new home (and Baby Lane's future home)

food cravings: My food cravings have pretty much subsided for now

symptoms: occasional fatigue, slightly tender breasts, extremely sensitive gagging reflex, and some vomiting (as a result of the gagging) 

gender: Still hoping to find out in about a month or so

belly button in or out: In

movement: Too early, but looking forward to when it happens

what I miss: Being able to zip up my pants ;)...nothing really!

what I'm looking forward to: Second sonogram on Friday! Hoping to see Baby Lane moving around a bunch!!!

weight gain: Not sure… I'm out of town and don't have a scale to weigh myself

maternity clothes: Not yet, but I am so ready for some maternity pants/shorts!

stretch marks: No.

sleep: I've been sleeping very easily and soundly

best moment this week: Nothing noteworthy

food cravings: No specific cravings this week.

symptoms: hunger (though more controlled), fatigue, tender breasts, occasional nausea, irritability, mood swings

gender: Too early.  Hoping to find out at our sonogram in June

belly button in or out: In

movement: Too early, but I can't wait!

what I miss?  pants that fit

what I'm looking forward to: Seeing Baby Lane again on ultrasound in a few weeks!
