Memory Lane

Haven't blogged in a while because honestly, there has been very little of interest to write about. I've been feeling more and more depressed every day. I think part of it may be this crazy schedule I have had. Flip-flopping back and forth from days and nights is certainly taking a toll on me physically and therefor emotionally. I constantly have this feeling of heaviness that I just cannot seem to shake. I've talked to David, and we have discussed me possibly trying anti-depressants again. I really don't know if that is what I need, but I do know that something needs to change because I hate feeling like this.
I had a wonderful night tonight. After work I met Sissy at her house. We went to Cocina and had a fabulous dinner. Then came back to our house and watched The Office. After that, we surprised David at work. I haven't seen her in over a month, so it was great to catch-up. She has met someone and has been spending a lot of time with him. She seems really happy. It makes me happy for her, but honestly I am so selfish, I am actually more sad for me because I don't get to spend as much time with her. She also brought to my attention that she will probably be here less than a year which makes me really sad. I just don't know what I will do when she is gone and I don't have her companionship. Birmingham will definitely be a much more lonely place once she is gone.
On a positive note, today is David's birthday. He turns 24 today. I am so happy that he is finally starting to get old too. I remember I first started feeling old about the time I turned 24. The older he gets, the better I feel about me own age. Silly, I know.
Today is going to be a busy day. I am going to get my hair done first thing in the morning. Then, I am taking Charlie to the groomer in the afternoon. I hope to have a couple more birthday surprises for David when he wakes up before he goes to work. Lastly, I hope to make it to Brandon and Joey's birthday party. I guess with so much to do, I probably need to get some rest. That is all for now.
