Christmastime has come and gone, but I am just now posting about it!

Christmas in one word, short...ok in two words, short and hectic. Since I was working in retail this holiday season, I only had Christmas day off, which meant that I had to squeeze a whole lot of family visits into a very short amount of time. I worked during the day on Christmas Eve, then I met David over at Carole's condo for Christmas with Carole, Rick, Mark, and Elizabeth. Then we went to our house to pack and drove over three hours in the torrential rains to Monroeville. We arrived there very late in pretty much went right to sleep. We woke up early Christmas morning and went to David's Nana's for Christmas with his extended family. (Side note: a few days before, I told David that he needed to call his Nana and ask her if it was alright for Charlie to come to Christmas. He asked "Why", and I told him that Nana "didn't mind people bringing their dogs to her house, she just minded that they didn't ask her". She told me this last year before we had a dog of our own. So he called her and she said "No"!, that no one was bringing their dogs this year, so we left Charlie locked in the bathroom at Carole's house.) After we finished having Christmas at Nana's we went back to pick-up Charlie. When we found him there was blood all over the floor. My poor baby had pawed at the door so much trying to get out that his paw was bleeding. So, we had to bandage him up before we could go to spend time with my family. We had a nice little visit with them. Then we went to Tom and Kelli's for Christmas with them, Taylor and John, and Elizabeth and Megan. After we finished up there, David went to Johnathan's to spend time with him, and I went back to spend time with my family. The next morning we got up and went back to Tom and Kelli's for Tom's birthday breakfast and then headed back to Birmingham so that I could be at work by 3:30.
Even though I did not have a great quantity of time with everyone, I honestly and gratefully say that I did however have wonderful quality time with everybody. I just hope to never work retail during the holidays again! :)
