I did it, I did it, I did it, yeah!

Those of you who actually read my blog (all two of you) may remember back towards the end of May when I blogged a little about my quest to get back to my pre-wedding weight. Well, after over a year of making gradual changes in my diet and exercise habits, I finally did it! I'm almost in disbelief. I am so proud of myself. I honestly didn't think that I possessed the will-power necessary to do what needed to be done and stick with it! Maybe I'm finally starting to develop a little bit of fervor to set out and accomplish goals. :) I was just too excited. I could barely contain myself!

Me, last weekend
lookin' lean ;)

  1. Hey now!!! I read your blog too! Anyways, I'm so proud of you.....now only if I could do the same! But I have a lot to lose to get back to my pre-wedding or even after-pregnancy weight! I know, I said it...after-pregnancy! I was only 120 pounds 1 week after I had Emme!! I wish I could get back to that.....I have a ways to go!

  2. Hey! :) I feel really good about how I've gone about it. It took longer than I would have liked, but I feel like I'm healthier, not just skinnier. It was very gradual. Just making healthier choices a little at a time. I think most people when they're trying to lose weight, try and take on too much at once, and that makes it hard to keep up. Now its much easier than when I first started. I actually enjoy exercising, and you know I NEVER did before! Good luck, I know you can do it! You make up your mind you want something, and you usually make sure it happens!

  3. Jamie, I am so proud of you!!! Congrats on working hard to achieve your goal!! I may need you to motivate me once the baby pops out!! Love you cousin!! PS my mom was cleaning out Parke's closet and some of our school journals were in there and in my journal entry from kindergarten I said that I had a great weekend because I got to play with my best cousin Jamie. :)

  4. Oh my gosh, that is so sweet! Thank you for telling me about it. You have no idea how happy that makes me. :) I think I teared up a little.
As for motivating you, I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but I will certainly do my best. Maybe we can work out together, or better yet, I can keep baby Ellis while you work out! Yay!
