Marissa Grace's Baptism

Marissa Grace accepted Jesus as her savior, and on Sunday, September 9th, followed the Lord in baptism!  I was so thankful that it worked out where David and I were able to attend.  It was so special to be able to witness such an important moment in her life.  It is a memory I will cherish forever!
Marissa Grace has always had a big personality, and anytime she has ever been in front of a crowd, has always managed to put on quite a performance!  Her baptism was no exception!  True to Marissa Grace fashion, she managed to make the moment uniquely her own, and something we will all talk about for years to come!
She had the entire church laughing, because instead of standing still before the preacher dunked her under the water, like most normal people would do, she decided it would be a good idea to try to tread water!  You would see her head bobbing up and down.  I'm fairly certain a couple members of the congregation were worried she was about to go under!  It was so funny, it took everything I had to maintain some amount of composure, and I had to look away for a moment to stop laughing.
After church, my sister said that she guess she should have instructed Marissa on how to stand there, before hand.  I immediately said, "No"!  It was just another, classic Marissa moment..."It's my baptism.  I do what I want!"
